Hello Action in Africa Members,
Can't wait until the vow of silence. Its gonna be a quiet riot. This club is gonna go places and its just great what you/we are doing to improve the lives of others that we haven't even met... yet.

Hi Students and Support Staff of Action in Africa,
My husband and I came to your first viewing of Invisible Children (+ donated to your auction) last year and were hooked. I wanted to thank you for helping to bring awareness to such a sad reality and for taking a step towards making a change (at such young ages). Since then we have both become strong supporters of Invisible Children. I want to extend a discount to all Seniors in the Action in Africa Club for their senior portraits - if they are interested.
Please check with your advisor to make sure this is an allowable offer [this was an original email. Lance did write back and asked me to post this email here]. If so, as a thank you to you all, I will take $50 off and donate $25 to either Invisible Children OR your club for each Senior Portrait Session. I just want you to know that I support you all.

Good luck with your great cause!
Sincerely,
Molly M. Peterson

Hey everyone in Aspen, you guys are awesome. You can hear all about what's going on, but sometimes the extent of the horror they are put through still doesn't really hit you. I recommend that you read "What is the What" by Dave Eggers. It is the account of one of Sudan's "Lost Boys," and is very moving. Check it out!

A huge congratulations and thank you for everyone's hard work this year!! Thanks for being part of an incredible campaign to raise awareness and money for African schools. We have been successful on both fronts. Our school, community, and nation are having dialogue like never before regarding the plight of Africa's future. Our goal this year was a lofty one at that - to raise $25,000 to benefit educational systems in Africa. As of today, we at 'Action in Africa' have raised over $30,500 to be used to build a school in rural Kenya (Free the Children) and to sponsor another school in Gulu, Uganda (Invisible Children). That's right - $30,500!! Congratulations! Together we have made a difference! Please stay involved!

Intentions and Actions are worlds apart. Please don't simply intend to do great things, see that it happens! Please support us Feb.20th and 21st at the District Theatre for an unforgettable night of film, dance, and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit two schools we are sponsoring in Africa (Kenya and Uganda). Hope to see you there!!

i think that what is happening to these people is very sad and unfair. yet when we watch it on t.v. or read it in the newspaper and go right back to our daily lives or dinners. become aware-share with people-your friends and donate. the situation is very delicate and all we can do now is donate our time, money and prayers. -alex

I believe that we are doing the world a favor and are making a humongous impact on society. This club and Invisible Children have inspired me and I have decided that I am going to go to Africa with the Invisible Children people and see what it really is like over there so that I can be more informed about this situation.
